**Description**

The Vector graphics method displays a vector plot of a 2D vector field. Vectors are located at the coordinate locations and point in the direction of the data vector field. Vector magnitudes are the product of data vector field lengths and a scaling factor. For more information on the attributes that are common to all the graphics methods, see Scripting Graphics Attributes: G*_name.

The attributes specific to the Vector graphics method are as follows:

**vector_scale = vector scale value **

**vector_align = desired alignment** (e.g.,**`t'**=tail, **`c'**=center,
**`h'**=head)

**vector_type = desired vector type** (e.g., **1**=arrow, **2**=solid
arrow, **3**=wind barb)

**ref_vector = n**, where **n** defines the size of the vector
(a value of `1.e+20' cues VCS to select an appropriately sized reference
vector)
