Research Interests

  • Atmospheric convection and predictability
  • Ocean waves
  • Air-sea interaction
  • Boundary Layer Meteorology

I am currently working on the DYMECS project (Dynamical and Microphysical Evolution of Convective Storms), looking at the evolution of convective storms over the southern UK using the Chilbolton radar data and the Met Office Unified Model. I have also worked on the predictability of atmospheric convection as part of the COPS (Convective and Orographically-induced Precipitation Study) field campaign, which was conducted during the summer of 2007 in the Black Forest mountains in Germany and the Vosges mountains in eastern France.

PhD project

  • "A global perspective of wind-wave interaction and the distribution of wave momentum".
You can find further information on my homepage and on the DYMECS homepage.
