LEM
Introduction
Welcome to the home page for the LEM in department of Meteorology. The latest version of the model is version 2.4. These web pages provide information on how to begin using the LEM:
- introduction: an overview of the LEM
- getting started: everything which is needed before the LEM can be run
- running LEM: how to run the LEM
- documentation: documentation which is available for the LEM
The web pages also provides information on:
- test cases: there are 5 test cases that were used to test the running a the model, but they can also be the first run for new users. They can then modify these runs, rather than starting from scratch.
- radiation pages: there is not much documentation for the radiation scheme, so I've started documenting it - but there isn't much there
- machine effeciency: a comparison is made for the the time taken to complete an LEM job: on different machine; and for different number of processors (only the multi-processor machines obviously).
- davie format: this is home page for the web pages which explain how to reading fortran output which is written in the DaViE format.
- old lem pages: the web pages which were written for version 2.2 of LEM are still available
Willie McGinty is in the process of taking over support for the LEM in the department and he has his own webpages.
