The transit of Venus, 2004

On the 8th June 2004, Venus passed between the Sun and the Earth. For six hours during this rare event, the silhouette of Venus was visible as it made its progress across the Sun's disk. This event was observed my millions, but my own contribution is recorded below with some photographs. The observations were made from the University of Reading, UK, using the projection technique made with my own 50mm refractor telescope.
