I recently bought a Canon A40 digital camera, and this page has some pictures from it. It can do 1600×1200, although the images below may be at a lower resolution to conserve the little space I have left in my home directory. I have not tampered with any of these images, other than resizing and using a higher compression ratio. I often use a polarising filter and the camera's "vivid" setting.

• Sunset over the university campus (23 Sept 2002) - the "vivid" setting was on for this one!
• Supercooled water freezing on a key (AVI movie) (3 Feb 2006) - leave a covered jam-jar, full of boiled water, out on a frosty night, then stir vigorously with something cold! Probably best not to drink it...
