Book
My book, Stochastic Physics and Climate Modelling, co-edited with Professor Tim Palmer FRS , was published by
Cambridge University Press in 2010. It is the first book to promote the use of stochastic processes to understand, model
and predict our climate system.

-
"A timely thought-provoking book on one of the most challenging and paradoxical scientific issues", with a
"breathtaking preface" and contributions from a "diversity of leading experts", the book is "a must for
anyone having a keen interest in climate modelling" (Daniel Schertzer, Nonlinear Processes in Geophysics).
-
"The book does a very good job of reviewing the state of the art of stochastic physics in climate modeling, and can be
wholeheartedly recommended to any researcher seriously interested in that line of research" (Philip Sura, Bulletin of the
American Meteorological Society).
The book is an expanded and updated version of a Theme Issue of Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society A.
