MOSES 2.2

This is a collection of information about MOSES 2.2 at vn4.5 of the UM.

Example Jobs

Using a standard HadAM3 MOSES 1 run as a starting point, I derived an example MOSES 2.1 job (xchib) and an example MOSES 2.2 job (xchhj). There is also a HadCM3 + MOSES 2.2 job (xchhs). These jobs can all be found on puma (under username annette in the UMUI), along with the stashmasters, hand-edits and mods.

The procedure I followed:

• Setting up a MOSES 2.1 job
• Setting up a MOSES 2.2 job

Note that my example MOSES 2.2 job includes some extra fixes, including code to ensure bit-comparison across the number of processors and restart frequency. These fixes do not seem to have any significant effect on the climate.
